Kamal Almasijaf – Educating people about Bani and the Inner Master

Spiritual direction is a gift to the seekers, and spirituality itself has become a vague concept these days. Contemplation as a spiritual activity can assist you in tuning in to the divine Sound and Light from within. In this aspect, the Bani teaching has roots in ancient Light and Sound teachings with teachers such as Bayazid Bastami, Shams Tabriz, Guru Nanak, and other masters who offered these teachings before Bani. However, it is not the same teaching since other masters have presented Bani's teachings on Light and Sound under different titles throughout history. They are, nonetheless, all part of the same flowing river of awareness.

The Bani foundation is an NGO on a mission to spread spiritual teachings, raise awareness, and bring balance to people’s lives. Kamal Almasijaf, known as Kaateb, the founder of the Institute, created the foundation from the wisdom of ancient masters and soul ambassadors to help people connect with the Inner Master and find their Inner Power. Kaateb has defied the odds throughout his life and his journey to promote the Bani teachings to the world.

Almasijaf was born to a Kurdish family in 1970 in Kurdistan. Since he was a child, notable ancient masters trained Almasijaf in the teachings of Light and Sound. As he turned 27, he set off for his voyage to preach his Bani teachings throughout Iran. In October 2002, Almasijaf founded the Bani Foundation, previously named the Scientific Institute of Pouya Mahdis. However, he started teaching four years prior to creating the foundation. The Iranian Government imposed a ban on the teaching called Eckankar, claiming the teachings were against Islamic beliefs.

Although Almasijaf faced several hurdles down the road, his commitment remained unwavering. Out of his passion for spreading knowledge to the world, Almasijaf built a vision revolving around the Bani Teachings. Although it has the capacity to disseminate spiritual knowledge globally through the internet and its institutes, His Bani Foundation is constantly devoted to delivering its resources in an easily accessible manner.

Given the viability of its students, The Bani Foundation is now available to all interested individuals, regardless of where they are located. Their lectures are offered in both English and Persian. Everyone is welcome to attend the public courses. Membership in the foundation entails a 12-year curriculum, classes, and a variety of programs designed to help people uncover their inner strength and tranquility.

The hurdles

Before reaching the top of the mountain, every mountaineer must cover a distance where they encounter unwanted situations. Almasijaf’s journey, too, was jeopardized during his time in Iran. Almasijaf recognized that his work would expose him to many new hindrances and risks. Still, he worked hard and remained strong in the face of adversity. It was in 2010 when the Iranian Government sentenced him to three years in prison on apostasy charges. He resumed his activities after being released by the Iranian Government and was forced to flee the country once again. As a refugee, he continued his education in Kurdistan, Iraq. He had to restart his work from scratch in Iraq when the Iranian government took all of his assets. He gradually came to accept his beliefs and began working. Because no excellent effort goes unnoticed, his former students tracked him down on the internet and began attending his lessons online.

The expansion of the Bani Foundation

After going through a challenging time, it was in 2020 when all of Almasijaf’s hard work paid off, and the Bani Foundation was registered in the United States of America, Nigeria, and Canada. The Bani Foundation is gradually increasing and spreading worldwide, including in Europe, Asia, North America, and Africa. The Bani Foundation has experienced many ups and downs since its inception. Still, because the founders were clear about what they wanted, they stayed committed and focused on the positive.

Put simply, Kamal Almasijaf’s passion for spreading the teachings of Bani led him to achieve his goal. Despite all the hardships, he paved the way to where he stands today. In addition to being a spiritual teacher, he has penned many books and has taught tens of thousands of students. As the founder of The Bani Foundation, he utilizes lectures, seminars, and gatherings to link people with Bani and promote his teachings worldwide, regardless of age, color, religion, or race.
